Her experience of being coached by some of the best coaches in the world and her time training full-time with Team New Balance Boston has given her a deep understanding of how to build trust and communicate effectively with her clients.

Sarah is a professional middle-distance runner where she predominantly competes in the 800 and 1500 metres. Hailing from Newcastle, she now calls Birmingham home, where she studied medicine at Birmingham University. With 14 years of experience as an athlete and 7 years of experience as a professional athlete, Sarah brings a unique and unequaled perspective to the coaching world. Her impressive athletic career includes representing her country at the 2017 World Championships, reaching the final at the 2016 European Championships and 2017 European Indoor Championships, becoming British Indoor Champion in 2017 over the 1500m, winning the English 800m title in 2016, winning team gold in the inaugural mixed relay at the European Cross Country Championships in 2017, representing England in the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast and reaching the 1500m Final, becoming British outdoor Champion over 1500m and reaching the Semi-Final of the World Championships in Doha in 2019, and winning gold at the European Cross-Country in the mixed relay.

Sarah’s expertise lies in coaching athletes training for events ranging from the 800m up to the 10km. With her extensive experience as a professional middle-distance runner and her wealth of knowledge from working with influences from around the world, she has the skillset to help athletes achieve their goals and hit their peak performance making her the perfect coach for athletes looking to excel in middle to long-distance events.

As a 1:1 coach, Sarah is dedicated to putting the athlete first and aligns with Team Project Run’s shared values of putting the athlete’s needs and goals at the forefront. She will take a personalised approach to her coaching by working closely with clients to understand their individual needs and goals. Throughout the coaching process, Sarah acts as a guide and mentor, offering support and encouragement to help clients stay on track and make progress towards their goals. Additionally, she will hold clients accountable for taking action and achieving the milestones that have been set out in the original plan, all while keeping the athlete’s best interest in mind.
